Most every week, one to two 5-10 minute quizzes will be given.
Quizzes will be closed book and notes and will cover material presented up to the previous class.
You may consider this and ANNOUNCEMENT. Please be ready!

Tests:
5 or 6 tests will be given. These are usually open book and open notes.

Final Grade:
Each test will be graded over a total of 100 points.
The homework and quizzes will be added and combined to a total of another 100 points.
Thus at the end of the semester there will be a total of 600-700 points.
There is usually a straight curve (90%-100% = A, 80%-89% = B, etc.)
If 6 tests are given during the course, the lowest one will be dropped at the end of the semester.
HOWEVER, this DOES NOT include the homework/quizzes grade or the last test.
The last test and the homework/quizzes test will not be dropped!
